Clinician Certification

As part of the Australian Cardiac Rehabilitation Quality Initiative, we aim to deliver certification of at least one clinician per Australian cardiac rehabilitation program, via the ICCPR Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Foundations Certification (CRFC) course. By supporting clinicians to complete this training, the national standard for cardiac rehabilitation is raised to align with international standards, thereby augmenting quality and consistency of care.

Hosted by the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (ICCPR), the Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Foundations Certification (CRFC) course provides online training for healthcare professionals on how to deliver the core components of cardiac rehabilitation. Designed for clinicians across the globe, it builds foundational knowledge that learners can go on to apply in their own local setting.

The Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association (ACRA) offers funding support to its members to complete the CRFC course. See here for more information about this support.

Since ACRA’s funding of the CRFC began in 2024, over 180 clinicians across Australia have successfully completed the course and achieved their certification. Their names are proudly recognised below.
