Australian Cardiac Rehabilitation Data Capture and Patient Record-keeping Project

In this project we will evaluate and compare, across Australian jurisdictions, record keeping and data entry as part of routine care in cardiac rehabilitation programs at the commencement of the SOLVE-CHD NHMRC funded program of research and after 4 years. We will also be exploring the usefulness, barriers, and enablers to implementation of the National Cardiac Rehabilitation Quality Indicators.

Participants:

  • One representative/coordinator from each of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre
  • Programs listed in the National Directory and CR networks

Recruitment:

  • A state-based information webinar
  • Jurisdictional leader contact those could not attend
  • Invite the CR program representatives to share the link with other CR representatives in their network

Data collection:

  • 28-item online survey through REDCap
  • Information about representative and program (8 items),
  • Current record-keeping practices and systems (12 items),
  • Information about the National CR QIs (10 items)
