Higher Degree Research Scholarship

The SOLVE-CHD HDR Scholarship program fosters excellence among postgraduate candidates undertaking research in cardiovascular rehabilitation and secondary prevention field. Our scholarships provide successful candidates opportunity to work with leading researchers across our partner universities.

SOLVE-CHD PhD scholarships provide successful candidates with an opportunity to work with leading researchers. Candidates will undertake their PhD studies at one of the participating universities: the University of Sydney, the University of Western Australian and Deakin University.

There are two scholarship streams:

  1. Primary HDR Scholarships are available for domestic and international applicants with an outstanding track record of academic achievement and research potential. Successful candidates will undertake a full-time PhD program at one of the three partner universities.
  2. Supplementary HDR Scholarships are available for excellent applicants currently undertaking a full-time PhD program at one of the three partner universities.

Applicants must be willing to undertake research closely in line with the aim of the SOLVE-CHD program, a list of priority research topics can be found here. Primary supervisor must be one of the CIs in the SOLVE-CHD team.
